Pesticide Determination at 0.01 mg/kg
A huge number of different pesticides are
being regularly applied in the agricultural
industry, including insecticides,
fungicides, herbicides, and growth
regulators.
The inherent superior selectivity of GC/MS-MS
allows interference-free
quantification and positive confirmation of various pesticides in a
single analytical run, even with coeluting
compounds.
This application note shows the capabilities of the CHROMTECH
EVOLUTION MS/MS triple quadrupole
mass spectrometer utilyzing MRM Technique for multi-pesticides
residue analysis.

Analysis of PCBs in Fish Tissue
Low level PCB contamination can be monitored by analyzing fish tissue. Congener-specific analysis of the PCBs in fish
tissues is often performed by GC-ECD or GC-MS. Unfortunately, both techniques suffer significant limitations due to the often huge amount of matrix compounds
found in the sample extracts. This application note describes the successful use of the
CHROMTECH EVOLUTION Triple Quadrupole GC-MS/MS system for the analysis of PCB in fish tissue. The selectivity of Evolution GC-MS/MS is used to increase sensitivity
and minimize matrix effects while greatly reducing the possibility of false positives.

Determination of Cannabis Metabolite in Hair - (THC-COOH)
Utilizing the Chromtech Evolution GC/MS-MS for determination of the metabolite THC-COOH from a human hair sample for
the detection of cannabis use within the last 30 days of its consumption.
The CHROMSYS Evolution is controlled via Chemstation. An additional window is added within Chemstation for the
Evo SIM/Scan parameters in which the user can choose the parent/daughter ions as
well as the collision energy for each compound to be analyzed.
